Leonardo da Vicni is well known for saying, “Art is never finished, only abandoned.”

These are some of the things we aspire to achieve with our Akimbos products and services, for all our users. Listen, if you think you’re heading to the finish line, if you think you’re gonna be first, think again because you’re heading the wrong way. There is no finish line. It is never complete. You’re never finished.

Akimbos Web was involved in designing and developing the blog-based website for author Arvind Devalia’s next book, Personal Social Responsibility, launching in June 2008.

The project involved a detailed conversations with Arvind on what the website’s purpose was, how he intended to build a community around PSR and how he intended to use his book to lead him to consulting and speaking opportunities.

Using a simple Wordpress template, customization by Sohail and design by Daniel, we developed a very simple web 2.0 look that matches his book theme and therefore cements his branding even more.

A quick testimonial from Arvind Devalia:

“Kavit helped me get clear about my strategy and objectives behind my new book about Personal Social Responsibility and convinced me that creating a blog was the best way forward. He and his team then created a highly attractive web 2.0 blog which is already increasing my brand awareness and helping to spread my message about social responsibility. I highly recommend Kavit and his Akimbos Web team.”

Formerly known as Buzz Burrito, this business has now been taken under the Akimbos brand and renamed Akimbos Web. A major restructuring and strategy work has been undertaken and using the philosophies of simplicity that we live and breathe, Akimbos Web serves small businesses that require web development with strategy formulation.

Too many small businesses out there don’t know what their marketing strategy is before they throw up a website. As a result, they waste a lot of money on their site development when they realize it no longer matches their requirements and strategy.

Akimbos Web spends time with clients before undertaking their web development to discuss strategy, direction and progress pathways. It’s a core part of our work.

Akimbos Web continues to grow the same was Buzz Burrito grew - through word of mouth and referrals. We feel it’s the best way to succeed in the web development industry as well as ensure we work with talented individuals who get the recognition they deserve.

We love blogs so it seemed fit to set one up for Akimbos in order to keep up to date with our growth, our products, services, ideas and philosophies, as well as our trips around the world in collaboration with others.

Akimbos is my version of Virgin on the web. It’s all about using the internet to create excellent tools that will improve performance in your life, business, health or music. It’s all about serving particular areas of needs in our own lives (myself, my team and our collaborators) and as a result, we hope it will help others too.

Just as simple as the DNA code is within each one of us, our goal with all Akimbos related businesses is to make life simpler so we can enjoy it’s fruits more often.

On this blog, I’ll share our journey, our ideas, our challenges, our progress and other tips I feel you may find useful. It’s an outlet for our thoughts and feelings. As the company grows, so will the blog and it’s writers.

Till the next post, sign up for regular updates at our home page.

- Kavit
